Sometimes this happens - writer's block. Not fun. Boring. I feel like I've had too many touchy-feely posts lately, which have got to stop!
But, a blogger's show must go on, so this is what you get.......randomness!
Here's what's been happening around here lately:
This is a lovely GASH in our fence,
put there by someone visiting our neighbor.
It's been 4 weeks and the visitor wasn't man enough
to come back to fix it, so David will have to do it.
Some people need to be slapped.
This is Collin's latest adventure.
He rigged this contraption, using
dog leashes and tie-down straps.
Lord, please don't let him fall!
(We have no health insurance!)
His goal was to touch the top where his rope was tied.
He's done it 3-4 times now.
Yay!
(Now GET DOWN!)
Random fact #1
I just finished Jen Hatmaker's book "7". It was amazing (like all of her writings). I don't think I'll try this "super-fast" she's been on, but it definitely gave me some things to think about, like how much JUNK we have, how much STUFF we waste, how BUSY we are and don't need to be, and how much we are missing out by not PRAYING throughout our day and keeping the SABBATH. All great things to think on, which I will.
Random fact #2
American Idol gave me the shock of my life last night! Josh Ledet, from right down the road, was groomed to be THE guy to take the prize. However, he was voted off last night; losing to a girl that has just a fraction of talent, compared to him. America! Get your voting brain back! First the president, now this?
Random fact #3
I've come up with a savings goal: I want to build a "sunroom" on the back of the house next year. Crystal Paine (Money Saving Mom) says we should have goals, so there ya go. This farmhouse is great and cozy, but I want more space! I just want a simple room, where the kids can go with friends and play games or watch TV and the guests can have a private place to sleep (ha! like we ever have out-of-town guests!) but just in case! Nothing fancy, but extra breathing room. It will take some "gazelle intensity" as Dave Ramsey says, but it's good to have a goal.Random fact #4
Ted has just mastered his first, original song and it will hopefully be heard on the local radio SOON!
The band - Over Everest - is so, so talented and Ted and Darin and Terry (Darin's wife) are anointed song writers. I can't wait to hear it on air. A proud "mom moment".
Random fact #5
David and I will actually get to have a date tonight. Collin has been invited to see Tim Hawkins in Houston, with his friend Jake. Tim Hawkins is hilarious, so it's always a treat to get some great laughs with that guy. I've often told Collin, that he could be the next Tim Hawkins. He's just as goofy and creative, so you never know!
Well, that's enough randomness for today. Tune in soon and see if I have something more significant to say. For now - that's all I got!

I think your randomness was wonderful. All except for the gash in the fence. That is so lame for him not to offer to at least pay for the damages. I'd say a good slapping is in order. LOL!

I lived in a house growing up that had a sunroom. It is nice to have that extra space, and even in winter have a place to go and regroup. I drove by that house the other day and it looked like the lady had made it into a nice sewing room.
