Mild Soapbox Rant

Sometimes there are things that just need to be written down, if for no other reason, than to just clear them out of your head for awhile.   Sometimes it feels good to climb up on that soapbox and express yourself!

Do things ever just get on your nerves?  And, you kind of want to shout them from some roof somewhere, but you would look crazy or judged or some other negative thing would come from it and you're not in the mood for that either, so.......you just write about it.   It's what writers do.

I understand Taylor Swift.  Really, I do.   Because those thoughts have to go somewhere!  And, those emotions have to come out and it's better to put them on paper than to get in that person's face and let them have it, right?

Well, I have a few things under my skin today and they need to come out.....

**So, when you disagree with someone and then apologize (and it's trivial to begin with) but they still ignore you every time you see them or try to speak to them......seriously?   Grow up already!

I mean, really, grow up and get over it and move on!  You're acting like a two year old.

**Also, to all of those legalistic people that groomed me in my early Christian days, and told me that emotions don't count in worship.....how sad for you.   Emotions are real.  God has emotions and we are created in his image.   You lied.   And, I'll be writing about this later.

Let me leave you with this warm and fuzzy picture so you'll forget I was griping and still think highly of me :)

Oh, and I'm here to listen to your soapbox rants, if you should ever lower yourself to my level.

Have a great day!

  1. How timely. I just had my little rant yesterday. Not on my blog but I had one none the same. And it does feel good. *smile*
If I lived near ya I'd invite you over for a little soapbox derby and some coffee. Hee! Hee!

    1. Kim,
I'll take you up on the derby and coffee!!

      Sounds like fun :)

  2. Nicely done rant! Made me smile! Oh... can't wait to hear what more you have to say on the emotions in worship!

  3. I agree with your rant. I just wish I would have written mine down for today down instead of ranting to the person I was upset with. Wish that person would actually hear, because my rant is ALWAYS about THE SAME THING! UGH!! May God help me.

    1. Michelle, maybe you should change your approach or do something to shock them out of their stupor :)

  4. Oh, and that bunny is adorable! I love rabbits. Is he a pet?

Thank you for stopping by! I love to read your comments!
