Little did I know when I started my Month of Meals with Marcy Jo's, that Rory (of Joey and Rory) would post a heart wrenching video on his blog about his daughter getting married! I didn't intend for every post to be connected to them, but I'm going to share his post here anyway. It's too good not to.
Normally I might have watched it and shed a few tears of sentiment for them, but yesterday was one of those days when I literally could have cried ALL DAY!
It actually started the night before.......
I went to bed Monday night feeling the pain of knowing that soon, Ted would be married and out of our house, for good.
For the past 5 years, since he began to drive, I have gone to bed watching the clock to make sure he got home safely.
As I laid there Monday night, I realized that soon, I would no longer be doing that; that he would go home to his own house and I would just have to trust that he made it every night.
My world is about to change.
Oh, I know I'll get used to it and there's always the little fact that I have a 15 year old in the house, who is chomping at the bit to get his permit (Lord help me!), but my world is still going to look different.
I'm starting to get a glimpse of what our parents felt when David and I left home and got married.
Yep! Here we are......turning into our parents!
Lord, help us!
Here we go......
